Our new project car is a 1965 Volvo Amazon (121) estate wagon. The car is drivable but requires significant work to reach the condition we desire.
Follow the restoration journey of the VP Wagon by subscribing to our newsletter or following us on social media.

This is what the car looked like when we picked it up:
To make the trim moldings and other chrome details shine, we use Autosol.
See how we did it in the video below.
Polishing the paint
For polishing the paint, we used products from our friends at Verktygsboden. And it definitely turned out much better than where we started!
Brake booster
The first mechanical work we did on The VP Wagon was to install a brake booster. Since the car is driven occasionally, we want to make it as safe as possible to drive. Conveniently, we have just developed a new brake booster installation kit that is specially designed for Amazons (Volvo 121/122).

Trunk Carpet & Wheelhouse Cover
Step two of the VP wagon's interior renovation is complete. We have installed new wheelhouse covers and side panels in the trunk, as well as a trunk carpet. A relatively simple job that gives the luggage compartment a big boost. In the video below, you can follow the process. All interior parts come from our own production and are handmade by our seamstresses here in Fristad, Sweden.

In this video, we show step by step how we reupholstered the front seats in our station wagon. We designed a custom upholstery with a unique color combination, of course hand made by us. To maintain the authentic feel, we used the same materials as the original. Join us and get practical tips for a successful upholstery installation!

Front suspension part 2
In the second part of our front suspension restoration, we paint and assemble all the parts. The front end gets a new lease on life and will soon be ready to be installed back on the car.
Front suspension
Time to give the front end some attention! In this episode, we tear down the suspension on our wagon. Rusty bolts and stuck parts put up a fight, but we’re getting there—one piece at a time.

Engine bay part 2
The transformed engine bay is being filled with a front suspension, an engine, and all the other parts needed to get the car running again. What do you think — will we get it started?
Engine bay
A complete transformation of the engine bay! In this first part, we tackle all the rust, grind everything clean, and weld in fresh new metal panels.
