A gas shock absorber eliminates weaknesses experienced with oil shocks with oil foaming at tougher driving.
Originally developed for racing, gas shocks are now also used for regular driving.
This KYB Excel-G gas shock has the advantages of a gas shock but almost the same comfort as a standard oil shock absorber.
